Major difference between these two types of sunglasses?
My eye doctor told me I need to start wearing sunglasses so I figured I would go get a pair.
I really like the Oakley Inmates, but the only place that sells them in store, locally seem to have 2 types of that brand.
I want to get polarized lenses as I go to the beach often.
Two styles are available.

The first one, is a silver on black. Basically a silver frame, and a “black lens”
the second one, is a black frame with a VR28 type lens.
I want a Silver frame with a VR28 lens. But they don’t sell that.
What is the major difference between the Silver/black frame vs the Black BR28 frame? Just the color? Are the lenses the same thing?

No, the lenses aren’t the same thing. The VR28 black iridium polarized have a copperish tint for the user, the mirror isn’t quite as strong, and they’re a “contrast” lens. The normal black iridium polarized have a greyish tint for the user, the mirror is pretty strong, and they’re a neutral (non contrast) lens.
You should maybe go try things on in a store somewhere. Which lens you prefer would likely have a major impact on your decision, far more than how things look to others.
