Why do many Americans live for luxuries, cars, technologies, money? (nothing else matters)?
Actually IS there anything else? I really don’t know! All I’ve seen around me for at least two decades is just cars galore, technology interests/computers, money, and people especially women, living for luxury. Cosmetics, hair, plastic surgery, clothes, vacations, the right sunglasses, credit cards, bank accounts, business, etc.
Is this basically what life’s all about?
I mean the obvious answer is YES, but you can find other meanings. I know all of tihs already, but I’ve discovered something from going on this path like the billions already do.
Why do you bother getting that bmw,lexus,mercedes, hummer, and clothes and try to feel important, when frankly, even if you are, there are 10000000 people out there doing the exact same thing YOU”RE doing, so while you feel all important and individualistic, you’re just part of the pack.
Ironic isn’t it? You want to stand out and live “the life” yet thats what everyone else is doing too.
Are we brainwashed?
It’s not just Americans, you know. There are as many people around the world who are just as materialistic and aquisitive: Britons, Aussies, Germans, Japanese, Saudis to name but a few.
Take a look at where a lot of the 5 star hotels and luxury goods stores are located at….ASIA and THE MIDDLE EAST ! Who are their primary customers? A veritable United Nations of materialistic people with more money than sense.
However, there are a number of people worldwide as well as in the USA who embrace simple living…and ignore the siren song of the advertisers. YOU need to make the choice to do that…if you are truly unhappy with what you are seeing.
