How do I make the waist of my pants vintage bigger?
I'm the branch of a vintage pair of pants that have a 3 "band / button selection before stitching that includes closing. Looks like a built in 3 "belt basically. The pants below the belt" in shape, but the belt of "party" is too tight. How I can change the belt to fit? If I removed the belt part of the whole pants would never work, and hold.
You could try to move the buttons on the tape "part" closer to the edge to give a little more space. I do not know the degree of tension that is in you … I'll keep thinking for you though:) I just thought of something else, if you remove the belt and disarmament in the side seams and then sew a piece of another fabric (coordinating or contrasting) stitching beside it, then sew the pants again … or use part of a belt as a pattern and make another waistband of his pants fabric to coordinate with pants.
