It is advisable for all tourists traveling to get their travel insurances and within the radius of there safari. There a lot that can happen and hence the immediate medical attention and as you aware in the National Parks we only have nurses to give first-aid and this is good enough for flue, and minor diseases but incase you are attacked by the wild animals and serious injured you need a specialized doctor and Hospital that has the facilities then you need to have a medical cover so that you can charter a private charter of helicopter,C-208 Caravan,Donnier 228,Ambraer,PC-12,Let 410,Helicopter which if covered all you need to do is to call an air ambulance and all they will require is your card details and you will be picked. In the event you are not covered you will be forced to pay cash for both air ambulance and hospital before you are flown and admitted and this might cost your life. Sasakwa, Para Lodge, Malindi, Lamu, Mombasa, Ukunda (Diani), Amboseli.
We have areas like North Eastern Kenya, Takaba, Banisa, Merti, Koru,Kalacha,Laisamis,North Horr,which the Private Executive jets can not land hence the usage of the aircrafts with short takeoff and landing performance like Caravan C-208,Donnier,Ambraer,Let 410,PC-12 which can land there. In Somalia also there are Non-Government Organization which operate in remote areas and they should also familiarize themselves with these information to enable them know so that in event of emergency they are quick to save the situation.
Non-Governmental Organizations, International Organizations, United Nations operating in these areas should be aware of this by identifying which are the nearest airstrips where jets can land, so incase of an emergency or a medivac they don’t waste time as this will cost someone’s life. It is indeed important to have a plan for air ambulance, medivac, emergency evacuation so that you are not got unawareness when such situation occurs.
Air Ambulance, medical & Emergency Evacuation To and From Major Cities.
This are long-haul flights and the recommended aircrafts to be used is A Lear Jet,Citation,Beechcraft 1900 C/D, Superkingair 200,Gulfstream 650/600,Ambraer CRJ,Supersonic Aerion,Falcon among other jets as they fly at higher attitudes and are radar equipped and can fly in bad weather and during night or day. These aircrafts like the Beech craft 1900 and Superkingair 200 have 7hrs 30 minutes reserve and for a flight to South Africa it will to a technical stop-over at Lusaka (Zambia) as total flight time one-way is 7 hrs and 30 minutes. The Citation Jet, Falcon, G600/650 will fly direct to South Africa which is the longest .The Citation jet to France will only do a stop-over for fuel .To cities which are above 1,300 statutes miles we recommend jets and this will work out cheaper while for below 1,300 s/miles we recommend the Beech craft 1900C/D and Superkingair 200.The citation cruises at 420 knots per hour twice the speed of the Beech craft and the Super Kingair 200 which cruises at 240 knots per hour.
