Black Bronze
If you could remodel your house, what end would you use? nickel, bronze, black, chrome, etc?
I'm in the process of making only that. I am redoing my kitchen in stainless steel cabinets white and blue, red appliances and green. The room is done in white with shades of blue. Sage Room green and natural wood, with touches of steel and the bedroom in shades of blue and green. Still thinking about what to do with the bathroom.

Bronze Casting and Bronze Metal Described
Bronze Casting has been practiced for centuries. Many civilizations have used this alloy for weapons, sculptures and pieces of hardware in general. The popular form of cast bronze using the lost wax casting is the process that was first used sometime in 3000 BC C. close of ancient Sumeria. The lost wax process is still in use today and its modern equivalent Casting is very popular among jewelry makers.
Bronze is the alloy of choice for artists such as metal working is relatively easy to work with and resistant to corrosion. The properties of bronze tend to be stronger than most other alloys, except of course for steel, and lends itself easily to the molding and casting process. Many small foundries like the kind that can be found in a backyard or workshop find that bronze is an ideal material to work with a melting point of 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius approximately 925 homemade furnaces are able to cast many bronze quickly and efficiently.
Many artists today create their own blast furnaces with this metal. These metal wheels used the method of lost wax casting which proves to be the best when it comes to the alloy. The casting Lost Wax is to make an original wax sculpture and then creating a mold with the original. Often, the original has been lost during the mold making process so keep that in mind if you stick to the original for any reason. Melted wax is poured into the mold which is chased or smoothed of imperfections. At this point, all other documents are attached and small wax tubes are placed in the room. These tubes form the molten bronze will travel in the replacement piece of wax with the alloy. When this is complete the artist will create a ceramic shell around the wax model. This cover will help form the molten copper, which melts the wax. When the Molten bronze is poured the bronze takes place of the wax. After the artist to break the egg and reveal the bronze piece. This method allows the transfer of very precise detail wax to the bronze.
Patina is added to the figure of the artist's discretion. The patina is a chemical that when applied to bronze creates colors and makes the bronze look aged. The Patrina compounds used depends on the desired color. Ferric nitrate, the bronze take on a red or brown, while Potash sulphide black and Cupric Nitrate will create blue and green. Modern artists day decides to go with a very high polished bronze instead of using these compounds. This step depends only the taste of the artist and the looks going for.
bronze casting will remain a popular medium until another alloy is developed that the properties of exhibits that are easier to handle and are more resistant to corrosion. Casting of the alloy is easily done metal wheels you want to experiment are encouraged to do so. Make no small figures, large sculptures and box, but handles can be achieved with the use of bronze. The only limitations are made of cast bronze with the same pitcher.
